The emigration process has many beautiful, yet difficult and emotional moments. I personally experienced this up close. My parents and brother emigrated to Alberta, Canada, while I was still living at home. Together they set up an agricultural business there. It has been a long time since then, but the whole event allows me to empathise with my clients’ situation. After all, it has quite an impact. Not only on your own life, but also on those around you. I still visit regularly in Canada. This keeps me well informed about life, living and working there.

I have been active as a visa consultant since 2001, and over the years I have specialised in visa applications for Canada. Initially from the parent company Interfarms, then in 2006 – together with my colleagues Frits and Hester – I founded Visa4you. From March 2006, I have been a Regulated Immigration Consultant Canada. This means that I am registered as a full member with “the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants” (CICC). This membership is required to be allowed to assist people with visa applications to Canada. Within the Netherlands, I am the only one with this licence and I am proud of that.
